We are a Mandarin-centric clubhouse that cultivates children’s interest and passion for Mandarin during their most developmental stage of life, through providing an accessible environment for children to interact with the language, thus laying a strong foundation for their growing years. We aim to create a fun and enjoyable community where children immerse in the use of the Chinese language as they embark on a world of exploration, creativity, and camaraderie.
Our immersive Mandarin environment encourages children to apply Mandarin learnt in school and to socialise, helping them to communicate and speak more confidently. We strongly emphasise on imparting Mandarin to children via unrestrained fun, engagement and having 2-way conversations to promote fluency in their oratorical skills apart from academic learning. In the future, this prevents children from facing difficulties in Oral exams, yet excelling in Listening Comprehension and Written exams. Notably, few can articulate like native speakers, although we understand. Fluency requires learners to embrace language as a tool to communicate and is best taught not through the traditional classroom approach but by using it in our daily routine.
As a clubhouse, our flexibility fulfils both parent and children’s needs. We allow parent accompaniment during classes, while children have freedom in our facilities. We are heavily focused on speaking Mandarin to make up for the frequently missing component in learning a language, for example due to the lack of exposure at home in dominantly English-speaking households. Compared to other education institutions, we are on par with them in terms of providing sufficient resources in imparting Mandarin knowledge, however our added advantage is we do not teach from a top-down approach, instead we give children time to speak Mandarin, contrasted to academic classes where they must obey class rules and listen to the teacher. Our main difference is cultivating an environment children look forward to and enjoy, thereby associating our environment with Mandarin and in turn willingly learn.
We are flexible in the number of classes you would like to join as all our classes are ad-hoc. There are no fixed classes due to our timetable changing weekly, hence you may participate in 1 class without commitment based on your availability. Each class requires 1 token, and it retails individually, where you can just purchase 1 token at $52.80. This will be a regular class conducted normally by our Mandarin teachers and comes along with 30 minutes of Free Play. Each class has a maximum capacity of 12 children and our class schedule comes out 2 weeks in advance for you to make an online booking via our parent portal.
We operate on a first come-first served basis and you can book 2 weeks in advance online. You can click the catalogue on our profile to view the activity timings and content as our timetable changes every week.
As our classes are segregated by age group, feel free to sign up for any class which interests you within your child’s age group. 1 token equates to 1 lesson, and you may do your booking through our online website after purchasing a token in our parent portal.
Our ad-hoc lessons such as ‘Junior Chef’ and ‘Junior Explorer’ are segregated by age groups ranging from 2-7 years old to cater to different levels of Chinese proficiency. For younger children 1-2 years old, we offer ‘Happy Baby’ which is sensory play. For more personal tailored lessons, we offer 1 to 1 coaching for 2-7 years-old to improve individual speaking ability and P1 Chinese Bridging Course for 5-6-year-old preparing for Primary school. There are no discounts for you, however your friend will be rewarded with the number of stamps equivalent to the number of tokens you purchased on your first visit.
